Cleaning everything once a year is crucial and exists in every culture in the world. Spring cleaning is here, and it’s making a lot of people very stressed! Not only do you have to clean, but you have to disinfect everything from possible covid-19 contamination. How do you even start to clean your entire house? We have the answers!
Plan a schedule
Organize tasks, starting with organizing and decluttering, and then cleaning. Start a checklist, room – by – room, starting with a small task to give you a sense of accomplishment. Make sure to give yourself some extra time to rest, recover and get through tasks you didn’t think will last that long.
Stay safe
When you use cleaning products, make sure you wear protective gear – gloves, masks, goggles, and sturdy shoes. Never combine two cleaning products together, as they may have a chemical reaction that will poison you. Always ventilate! Never clean in a closed room, you will inhale toxins and get sick.
Don’t despair
Spring cleaning is hard for everyone, and even if you are a few days behind, it’s ok. Even if a sand storm reached your area and destroyed everything you have done, it’s ok. You’re still on the right track to getting it done!
Store what you don’t use
Find a storage facility and out the things you haven’t use since last year there. Make sure to find one with good ventilation, lighting and accessibility.
Reduce, reuse, recycle!
If you really have no need for that old sofa with the bad leg, recycle, donate, or fix it. You will feel so much better after getting rid of unused objects, like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Best of luck in your spring cleaning, let us know how it went and contact us for more info about storage facilities.
